Your career experience so far

I've worked in a range of areas, from a building society to equity release sales, then Later Life/Equity Release Account Management for brokers, and now the Marsden.

What I love most about my current role

I love the complexity and variety of the case enquiries we receive, and trying to make all the individual components fit like a puzzle - life isn’t strait-laced, so we tend to take a colourful and more hands-on approach for each scenario.

What motivates me at work

Seeing a case proceed to application. From an initial phone call to an email with all the nitty-gritty details, to affordability checks, checking policy and then sometimes referring to Senior Management for approval. It feels like the hard work has paid off!

My hobbies outside of work

Travelling! When I’m not on a plane, I’m out on walks with my dog, catching up with friends or heading to the local pub quiz.   

A fun fact about me

I love colour, so I’ve painted my home in pretty much all of them - it’s like Balamory, but on the inside. Each room has a different palette and, so far, I’ve used blue, green, orange and pink. Yellow is next on my list.

A topic I could talk about for hours

Very stereotypical as I'm from Wales, but Gavin and Stacey – I could probably quote the whole script from start to finish.

My pets

A crazy, but very loveable, 7-month-old Fox Red Labrador puppy.

Tea or coffee

Definitely coffee, with a splash of caramel or hazelnut syrup.

Favourite film

Gladiator (but the original with Russell Crowe).
