Our Retirement Interest Only (RIO) mortgages are designed for your clients aged 55+ who are looking for an interest only mortgage in retirement with no plans to downsize and who wish to remain in their home.

Key criteria for our RIO range:

  • Available to those aged 55+
  • Interest only up to 65% LTV
  • Minimum loan size £30,000
  • Minimum property value £150,000
  • Repaid when a life event is triggered (no maximum term)

No, there’s no minimum equity requirement for our RIO mortgage range. This is due to the capital being repaid when a life event occurs.

Each applicant is assessed independently for our RIO range to make sure they can afford the monthly interest payments on their own. Please note that we do not accept earned income on RIO cases.
